She took a lunch break and became one of the most-seen faces in history!
Jenny Joseph was a 28-year-old graphic artist at The Times-Picayune when Columbia Pictures needed a new logo model in 1992. She'd never modeled before, but agreed to help during her lunch break.
They wrapped a sheet around her and she held up a regular desk lamp to pose for the photos. The artist then used those reference photos to paint the final logo with a proper torch.
She was also pregnant at the time and discovered it during the shoot. It was her first and last time modeling.
Now billions see her face before every Columbia Pictures movie. Sometimes the most iconic moments happen during the most ordinary lunch breaks! 🎬
