Bobi Wine AKA The Ghetto President speaks at the panel discussing Freedom of Expression and dissemination for non tradition media. He mentioned a couple of profound things but one of the things I remember is when he was asked about what he thought about the boycott of the "Tubonga Nawe" Artists. He mentioned that Freedom of Expression meant giving people a chance to express themselves regardless, of the fact that you do not agree with them.
Everyone regardless of who they are has to be given a chance to be wrong or right and if you believe they are wrong, win them over rather than condemning them. He also mentioned that Artists are just a mirror of society and they only reflect what society has become so their actions are only a reflection of what society actually is.
Bobi Wine, considered one of Uganda's greatest artists has won the hearts of many with his catchy and sometimes educational and socially conscious music. He has sang songs like "Kadengo", "Carolina", "Tugambire Ku Jennifer" and recently "Dembe"
