Biodegradable matter produce gas in different quntity and quality. It's advisable to mix different types of feedstock to optimize gas production per kg of feedstock.

There is a direct link between energy demand per person to the waste produced per person per day. The solid waste is categorised in biodegradable and non biodegradable waste while liquids are categorised in oily and non oily liquid waste. Organized communities separate solid from liguid waste, and the waste is subdivided farther into oily, non oily, biodegradable and non biodegradable.

The almighty created the human body with automated digestive systems that operate by reflex at injestion, during digestion, extracting energy and ejestion. To some extent scientists have copied this process to design a biogas digester. The mouth is an equivalent of the mixing chamber, the stomach is the main digester while the intestines represent the expansion chamber. In that context once you are proud owner of a digester operate that system like you treat your body. Don't feed the digester what you cannot digest.
