Failure is Just a word!
Perhaps this is a wake-up call to many of us to redefine "failure" in our lives. Failure is not necessarily a lack of finding success in things that we or others think we should be capable of succeeding in, nor is it our inability to live up to the expectations of others. Regardless of whether either of these conditions occurs, all we are facing is a lack of success and an opportunity for us to learn and to grow from the experience - nothing more, nothing less. Actual failure is something much deeper than this; it is a choice to wander away from our ideals - it is when we stop being authentic and true to ourselves, our values, and our integrity.
The beauty of this philosophy is that as long as we remain true to our principles, there is nothing we can fail at in life, regardless of what the outcome may be. A loss on the surface might be a victory within if we made decisions based on our ideals rather than on expediency or the wishes of others. This offers us hope for overcoming our defeats, shortcomings, and lapses by looking at them as stepping stones along the path towards success instead of any other fatalistic perspective that prevents us from obtaining it.
We have the choice on how we will view the failure in our lives. And when we choose to look at them realistically, we discover that we are the ones who define it, and what many others might consider a failure, perhaps is not, as long as we are being true to our authentic selves and our principles and ideals. But if we are not true to ourselves, then all of our efforts will be fruitless.
Strive to follow your ideals and principle.
