NEVER OUTSHINE YOUR MASTER? WHAT IF YOU CHANGED THE MASTER?

A few days ago, someone online posted a video in which he restated the first "Law of Power" from one of the famous books. The law says: NEVER OUTSIDE YOUR MASTER. I have attached an image of what that law teaches.

In all fairness, I am aware that this world is filled with very many insecure people who can't stand those around them shining. I know that a good number of people have not developed character enough to peacefully see others radiating glory or watching others doing better than them. Undoubtedly, these are many and dangerous. I get it.

That said, however, when I listened to the gentleman's video, I replied him asking,

"What if you change masters and go where you can still shine brightly and the master is okay with it? Until when shall we keep dimming our light simply because someone else feels insecure and threatened by our excellence? How about handing them a pair of shades so that they can handle our light?"

His response was: "That is ideal. But once the new master gets threatened, the result is always the same."

To this, I responded as follows:

"The problem is that many people keep getting the wrong masters who lack self-mastery. The day you work under / with someone who is secure in their own skin, you will realize that there are even some masters who assist those they lead to outshine them into a more glorious future. These thoughts from Robert Greene's book work in the dog-and-cat environments only where people are not regenerated, where servant leadership is not known, where transformed lives are not in place. (And not every place is like that!)

But in many other places where people have outgrown comparisons and real transformation has taken place in the hearts of a critical mass, this particular law, among the 48 that Robert taught, is something to treat with contempt.

Anyone that surely desires to be a leader w with meaningful impact must not only equip others to outshine him but also seek to grow unrestricted in the eyes of their masters. No wonder, the real Master Jesus Christ told his team, "You shall do greater things than I have done." That's the kind of Master I am happy to serve --- and others like Him. I rest my case."
