ELECTRICITY COURT CONVICTS UNCERTIFIED WIREMEN TO 2 YEARS IMPRISONMENT

The Standards, Utility and Wildlife Court (Electricity Court) convicted and sentenced Jonath Musinguzi and Kiirya Samson to two years imprisonment for fraudulently selling notification of completion of installation works leaflet number 506138, issued by Umeme Limited, accompanied by an installation permit number ERA/EIP/CLD/015/03560 belonging to Aineomugisha Dan.

Jonath Musinguzi, aged 30, a resident of Kasubi Zone 1 and Kiirya Samson, aged 29, a resident of Kiwuunya Zone in Nakulabye were arrested by the CID officers attached to ERA on 23rd October 2018, selling the documents to Wamala Yusuf who had applied for a new electricity connection at the Umeme Limited office in Nakulabye.
