Dear brothers and sisters,
The voting is now complete. We know some of us may feel disappointed, angry or tempted to go to the streets. But we must remember this: striking and destroying our own communities will not build our future. Every stone broken and every shop burned costs us, not the politicians.
Let us not allow anyone to use our emotions for their gain. No politician is going to come and create jobs for us, build our skills, or make us productive — that responsibility is ours. The most powerful thing we can do as young people is to focus on productive work, build skills, grow small businesses, support each other, and control our future with our own hands.
What we should be demanding from our leaders is not chaos in the streets, but:
1. A clear plan for youth employment and skills development.
2. Access to finance for youth enterprises.
3. Better education and training opportunities.
4. Accountability, transparency, and service delivery.
5. Policies that support innovation and business.
These are demands that lead to real change, not just noise.
Peace is power. A peaceful country is the only environment where businesses grow, jobs are created, and opportunities increase. Countries that collapse into violence take decades to recover, and it’s always the youth who suffer first.
So, let us stay peaceful, stay focused, and stay productive. Our real protest should be in how we work, how we innovate, and how we build our economic strength. That is how we win.
The future belongs to productive youth — not violent streets.
