A few years back a Lawyer came with a pistol with request for a lesson on handling the same. I told him to go to the police for training before walking around with it.
Some of these fellows don't even have feasible "lethal" enemies or bad guys around them. Yet they go and sign for the weapons. Now he gunned down a guard who is included in ensuring his security at that place. Next time he may do worse.

The U turn in fortune, fate and destiny. He was forgotten.......but at least he had a "house and latrine". A lot of people around us may require charity assistance from an elders' home when by the time fortune, fate and destiny is done with them.

There is a frightening memory of motor bike related assassination in recent times in Uganda, especially among government officers and public figures. The assassination of Kaweesi, Kirumira, Kigundu and Abiriga is still fresh to recall. This is reality and there are guys with motives to kill others while taking advantage of mobility of the motor bike. Somehow, all leaders in Uganda irrespective of the political divide are suspicious about motorcycles riding next to their cars.

Hon. Nantaba cannot be excluded from such fear, especially if one considers her political controversy and struggles. And her response and anxiety is understandable.

After she had reported to the concerned authority, the response from security operatives especially the Police should however be more rational, with less excitement and more curiosity to find out the truth. Section of the information coming in from the scene indicates that the "Assassins" seems not to have been in possession of any Fire Arm or other hurt items(if they had any gun with them it would be different scenario) and one was arrested

Perhaps after the successful arrest, if the normal investigation and interrogation process was carried out, in whatever circumstances, then this man would be alive as we all witness a better precedence regarding random suspicion to motorbike riders.

The police field officers sent to the rescue should therefore tell it all, not Hon. Nantaba.

This lady's boyfriend is alleged to be working in Germany. Of recent several men and women studying and/or working abroad are experiencing signs of unfaithfulness and betrayal from their loved ones who remained home in Uganda.

We first handled such a case in 2011, but thereafter each year we are recording more cases of cheating partners and spouses than the previous year.

Most of the cases are generated by suspicion created by the behavior of the spouse/partner left behind, information from friends, relatives and in some cases the spouse/partner is found in the act by the person abroad after coming back without notice.
70% of suspicious information related to cheating spouse come to pass as true. Others are more worrying in real sense than what was reported. Some people realize late when the social damage is too gross to rectify or jump out without being excessively hurt.
However, through experience we have learnt that some of the first information are misleading and not entirely correct.
In one case, a woman was reported to a diaspora husband as sleeping out 2 times every week. On Investigation we found out that the woman got herself another church and she was actually doing nothing wrong. In another case the man working abroad was informed that every Thursday his wife meets with a lover till late and the lover sometimes drops her home personally. We found out that the meeting was actually a woman SACCO group she had joined and the person dropping her off was identified by the man himself as a cousin.
In another case, a girl being sponsored by diaspora lover in a University had joined a craze of gym exercise.
There are other misleading information also from jealous friends. One lady wanted the husband of her best friend who was working out of the country. He turned her down and in her shame she in turn sent wrong messages to incite the lady working outside the country. At the time of investigation she was still obsessed with the man and was allover him, while at the same time sending messages hoping for a bitter break of the couple. Instead one day as we watch, she was thrown out of the house by the man with a warning.

People working abroad receiving information about their spouses back home should not jump to conclusion so fast. Make sure the information is correct before judging anybody. And try not to make criminal decisions because such decisions are more frustrating and devastating in the long run.

Nobody should kill a loved one because of rejection and if you want to move on from home be fair and frank to your partner who is doing his/her best to make a better future for both of you...... well if things work well.

Am not sure what information is in the case file....... but the investigation on this matter should just carry on until every detail of the person who employed this lady out there is known and how he /she got connected to Uganda. Whoever does business with unlicensed entity is at fault, but do the licensed job exporters go out there for due diligence and verification of advertised work, location of duty point, etc and match it with the interest of the applicant? If it's going to be a direction of formal services provision to the world then a policy should be instituted to ensure where the workers are going is known and the foreign employers are interviewed first hand. Life is at stake here.
The motive and intention of every person and service provider involved on the Ugandan side may be in good faith and contrary to the hidden agenda of the employer in the foreign land.
But be careful Ugandan Citizens. There are people with wired intentions out there. They will do anything to get your clean, fresh, healthy body organs for sale or to prolong the lives of their loved ones.

Lastly women don't run away from homes for nothing. That husband should figure out why his wife took off for "greener pastures" without including him in the know..... probably her relatives knew about. There are wives going out for kyeyo with consent from their husbands and they come back home fine.

Kampala Metropolitan need to absorb all the 5.000 CCTVs...and it will still not be enough. This should be supplemented with all major Malls and buildings in Kampala city installing private CCTVs, not only inside but also outside.

"WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE A TYRE BLOWOUT WHILE STILL IN MOTION (SPEED)"

The horror of the unfortunate death of many people in the country due to accidents occasioned by a tyre blowout and the fact that we have many untrained drivers, it has become pertinent for me to write this.

There are many things one can do to save lives in a situation of a tyre blowout but these are 6 simple steps to take within a maximum of 2 minutes to save lives. By the grace of God I have been familiar with this kind of situation for decades. The steps are as follows:

(1) *DON'T PANIC* in the event of a blowout, calm yourself down fast because your car will start misbehaving and you need to take charge.

(2) *HOLD FIRMLY* to your steering wheel with both hand, NO VIGOROUS TURNING, as you concentrate on the road and your mirrors, in seconds study the movement pattern of the car. Your car will naturally swerve to the direction of the burst tyre.

(3) Gradually take off your foot from the accelerator, *DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO PRESS THE BRAKES,* IF YOU DO, YOU HAVE A 95% CHANCE OF A SOMERSAULT. The car will decelerate gradually while you concentrate on the road to avoid collision with any other road user.

(4) Disengage the gears of the car by shifting to neutral (N) as you still maintain a firm grip on the steering wheel and keep your eyes on the road.

(5) After a while depending on your initial speed, your car will come to a speed less than 60km/h when it is now safe to GRADUALLY apply the brakes and navigate to the side walk

(6) Ultimately, you'll come to the place where it will be safe to put the car to a complete stop and turn off the engine.

You have just saved yourself and passengers from untimely death.

NOTE:
Of course, everyone in the car will be in a panic mode BUT this is *NOT THE TIME TO LISTEN TO THEM, it is TIME TO CONCENTRATE*.

Please, don't just read, share on your page and copy to other platforms, you may just be about to save a life.
We pray that God will continue to keep us safe as we use the roads.

" Today, July 24, marks National Private Investigator (PI) Day. National PI Day is a time dedicated to celebrate the contributions of licensed Private Investigators. It also provides an opportunity to demonstrate the value of professional Private Investigators to the public. After all, Private Investigators provide a fundamental and vital role in society today."

Private Investigation Services has been around for a long time. It's a rather young service industry in Uganda but, within the coming decade it will be a service sought after in all spheres of facts, law and evidence related investigation services.

It's ! 🔎 The July 24th holiday represents the birthday of Eugene Francois Vidocq, the very first who founded the first known agency in 1833. Thanks for the info about the meaning of today, National Investigative Training Academy, Inc.!
