We convened Programme cohort 2 recently for the Sales and Marketing training that aimed to equip participants with essential digital skills.

The sessions held covered topics such as digital marketing, brand identity and positioning and social media strategy. Participants learned a thing or two when it comes to effectively position their brands online, create engaging social media content, and build strong brand identities.

The training is part of our ongoing efforts and the Ready for Inclusive Sustainable Employment and Entrepreneurship programme to empower local businesses with the tools they need for growth and success.

Many small and growing enterprises struggle with managing cash flow, controlling costs, hitting profitability targets, and mitigating risks, being challenges that stunt growth, expose businesses to unnecessary risk, and reduce investor confidence.

This week, under the Ready for Inclusive Sustainable Employment and Entrepreneurship (RISE/E) Programme, we hosted a two-day training on Financial Management & Internal Controls to equip enterprises with practical tools and knowledge that tackle these exact barriers. By strengthening bookkeeping practices, budgeting skills and internal checks, businesses become more resilient, more attractive to lenders and partners, and better positioned to scale.

To mention but a few, these are some of the key areas covered:
• Cash flow management; including a hands-on cash-flow forecast model participants can use to plan and track liquidity.
• Financial planning & budgeting; creating realistic budgets and linking plans to business goals.
• Internal controls; simple, cost-effective checks to prevent loss and improve governance.
• Risk management; identifying financial risks and putting mitigations in place.
• Accessing finance; what financial institutions look for and how to present credible financial records and loan-ready documents.

Stronger financial systems are a direct path to sustainable growth, and we’re proud to support enterprises on that journey.
