Uganda Revenue Authority assists its clients in the change of ownership in either a motorcycle or a motor vehicle. A point to note, motorcycle transfers can be done at the branch offices whilst, motor vehicles are only transferred at the Head office.

o TIN for the buyer
o Valid IDs for the buyer and seller
o TIN password for the seller
o Copy of original logbook
o A letter of transfer in case of a company
o A certificate of incorporation in case of a company

Tax – 20000
(50,000 for assistance)
Motor vehicle transfer
Private cars
Transfer fee-84,000
Commercial vehicles

Advance tax- determined in accordance to the weight of the vehicle
