Lugave CLAN

Lugave CLAN Lugave clan is one of the largest clan of the Ganda people in Buganda Kingdom.Its roots are in Katende, Mawokota county.

At the founding of the kingdom as we know it today, the head of the lugave clan was called MUKIIBI SSEBUKO SSAALONGO. The lugave clan is one of the five clans that were indigenous to Buganda before the coming of Kintu. Members of thode five clans are refered to as the originals ( Bannansangwa) .The other orignal clans were ffembe,ngeye,njaza and nnyonyi nnyange.
