We are currently hiring an experienced Dump Truck/Mover Tractor driver to haul materials/heavy equipment. This position will also include hands on labor at various job sites. Mechanic experience a plus!
Responsibilities:
-Report to job sites and follow instruction of job Foreman
-Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
-Plan routes and meet delivery expectations of customers
-Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
-Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
-Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
-Collect and verify delivery instructions
-Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills:
-Proven skills in heavy equipment
-Proven work experience as a dump truck driver
-Ability to drive 10+ hours and travel regionally
-Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
-No recent moving or driving violations
-Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
-Valid truck driving license
-Mechanic experience desired but not required
