These deer hunters might not have seen much on this cold morning, but we sure had a heck of a good time! There’s nothing like being out in the woods, enjoying the fresh air, telling a few stories, and making memories.

I sure love spending Youth Day in the woods with my kids. ❤️ Getting to watch them enjoy the outdoors and making memories together is what it’s all about. Some days you bring home a deer, and some days you just enjoy being in the woods—but either way, it’s a good day in my book!

🦇 MAJOR BAT INFESTATION FOUND! 🦇

Another call came in to Rowe’s Wildlife Services LLC, and this attic had a serious bat problem! As you can see, there was extensive evidence of bat activity throughout the attic space.

Bat infestations can lead to droppings, urine contamination, unpleasant odors, insulation damage, and potential health concerns if left untreated. The key isn’t just getting the bats out — it’s finding how they’re getting in and properly securing those entry points to keep them from coming back.

At Rowe’s Wildlife Services LLC, we can help with bat removal, wildlife exclusion, attic inspections, cleanup, and repairs to prevent future entry.

Crockett, Va- 5700 blk Grayson Turnpike - female bitten by a bat, ems response.

🦇 🩸If You Have Been Bitten:

Don’t panic, but don’t ignore the bite, either.

Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and lots of water. Washing thoroughly will greatly lessen the chance of infection.

Give first aid as you would for any wound.

If possible, capture the animal under a large box or can, or at least identify it before it runs away. Do not try to pick up the animal.

Call an animal control or law enforcement officer to get the animal.

Notify a health care provider immediately and explain how you got the bite. They will want to know if the animal has been captured.

If necessary, your provider will give the anti-rabies treatment recommended by the United States Public Health Service.

They will also treat you for other possible infections that could be caused from the bite.
Report the bite to your local health department.
