The last four years have been a dream come true for Coach Keith Dunn coaching and training kids throughout Northwest Georgia. Coach Dunn serves as the Women's Head Varsity Coach at Unity Christian School, and the last two seasons have been amazing. This year, the Unity Christian Lady Lions finished with 20 wins and 7 losses, and came in second in the State in the Georgia Independent Christian Athl
etic Association. Coaching basketball at Unity Christian gives Coach Dunn the opportunity to help players focus on their spiritual life, their fundamental skills, their mental game, and their team play. In addition to coaching at Unity, Keith Dunn's pride and joy is his business, Refined Player, and his work with a community AAU basketball team, the Lady Knockouts. Coach Dunn’s mindset while working with kids in the community goes beyond developing basic basketball skills. He believes that our kids need to have a vision for personal and team success and to use their God-given abilities to excel at the sport they love. According to Coach Dunn, "to become extraordinary is to take care of the ordinary… Always doing the ordinary in an extraordinary way!"
Coach Dunn’s methods set him apart from others. “My method is spiritually and mentally focused," he explains, “because first I give all the glory to God!” The Refined Player philosophy is that the student athlete must run through a quick mental checklist to make sure that they are in control, focused on the situation, and ready to trust themselves and react naturally. Through his positive training approach, he helps athletes define, develop, and achieve their personal goals focusing not only on the game, but also on the importance of education and life skills. Coach Dunn feels that inspiring consistent performance is what kids, parents, and coaches want, and he knows that his method of coaching works.
