After our initial phone consultation, I felt like we had found our coach / Trainer
What we like about Coach Dunn is his style of teaching & communicating ... our daughter is a very bright and she learns best by people talking to her, explaining what they want & then demonstrating... she doesn't need anyone to "Bark & Yell" at her & we think Coach Dunn's style works well for her.

Refined Player helped my player physically, mentally, and emotionally. We trained basketball knowing that my player was a baseball pitcher. The physicality of the training, the mental focus regardless of what you play, and the emotional control learned for the hardwood or on the mound has been so vital. My player went on to set the High School scoring record and signed a Division 1 scholarship as a pitcher.

Coach Keith Dunn has been a positive influence in our child’s for over 5 years. Coach Dunn has a unique way of teaching spiritual principles and guiding children in their faith journey. He has had a significant impact on her life by helping her develop not only as a player, but also as a person of faith and character. We chose Refined Player because we had heard positive things in the past regarding him. However, we wanted a good fit for our daughters, so we went to see for ourselves how they responded to Coach Dunn. He takes the time to get to know each player and plays to their strengths and temperaments. He has successfully worked with 3 of my daughters to make them better players on the court and better people off the court. He pushes them to excel and focuses on both the skill part of the game as well as developing their basketball IQ and decision making skills. He also invests in them spiritually and challenges them to deepen their faith and trust in the process. While they might not always like drills and workouts during practice, we have seen the benefits of it in play. The best testament is they do not complain about going and see all the benefits themselves, making them want to go back again and again.

Coach Keith Dunn has all of the needed skills and knowledge to advance a player's game to the next level. However, he is building the player’s inner self, including their confidence and mindset which is helping on and off the court. I engaged him to help train my daughter in preparation for her upcoming season. His sessions are clearly making an impact by improving her base fundamentals in addition to expanding her abilities for handling pressure and creating space for shooting and/or attacking the basket. He challenges my daughter during the sessions in ways that both increase her confidence but also gives her perspective. He's been very patient but holds her accountable to showing results.
After the first session, I asked my daughter if she enjoyed it and challenged her if she wanted to continue. She immediately begged me to stay in his program and looks forward to every session. I’ve seen tremendous improvement with her skills, strengthening discipline and mindset even though we are still early in the program. We take notes home and now my daughter has real things she can work on at home.
It’s serious training with some laughter sprinkled in at the appropriate times. You can’t ask for someone who has a stronger calling to help young players than Coach Keith Dunn.
