Apparently not every bug in Cherokee County is on my hit list. 😆
Down at Olde Rope Mill Park, some aquatic insects are actually doing important work. Mayflies, stoneflies, and caddisflies can help scientists gauge stream health because many of them are sensitive to pollution.
So while I’m usually showing up to make bugs disappear, these little guys get a pass.
They’re basically the tiniest environmental inspectors in Woodstock. 🪲📋💧
And judging by the safety vests, they take the job very seriously.

Teaching your kid to drive is such a special father-son moment. ❤️

You know… bonding, making memories, quietly reconsidering every decision that led you to the passenger seat. 😳

Meanwhile Colin is having the time of his life, I’m holding onto the “OH CRAP” handle like it’s structural, and apparently the local bug population has already learned to look both ways. 🪳💨

At least the Truly Nolen Mouse Car air freshener made it through the lesson.

Silverfish have been around for roughly 400 million years… so naturally, this one has tenure. 📚🌙

Meet tonight’s Night Librarian: quiet, harmless, works exclusively after hours, prefers dark corners, and has an unfortunate habit of taking “devouring a good book” a little too literally. 😂

And before Corporate calls me: yes, I know the Truly Nolen logo looks like it was carved during the Stone Age. That was the joke. Please don’t revoke my mouse car. 😆

Silverfish aren’t dangerous to people, but they can damage paper, books, cardboard, wallpaper, and other starchy materials while they’re sneaking around your home.

If your librarian has six legs, it may be time to call the professionals. 🐭🐛

My daughter picked today’s theme: Crocs.
Apparently the roaches heard “roomy, well-ventilated, and hundreds of entrances” and thought VACATION RENTAL. 🪳😂

One’s lounging. One brought luggage. Another has already claimed the master bedroom.

If your shoes have developed their own HOA, it’s probably time to call Truly Nolen. 😆

We had the privilege of having Dr Mary Elizabeth Davis speak to our club today. I definitely feel like our children are in good hands. We learned a lot about the strides the county has made, the current status and the direction she plans on taking it. FYI - It's up.
I'm proud to have a person of this caliber heading up our county's public education.

Thank you to CCSD Superintendent Dr. Mary Elizabeth Davis for joining us on such a busy day for you and sharing about what's going on with Cherokee County Schools. We always appreciate your candid information and what you and your team are doing to make CCSD the highest performing district in the state!
