ICCF Community Homes announces $12 million campaign to help build 200 affordable homes for families in need.

ICCF Community Homes' "Building with Faith" campaign will use church-owned land for rental units and provide pathways to homeownership, supported by a dollar-for-dollar matching gift of $6 million.

Imagine you're a parent with a very sick child but you live 90 minutes from the nearest children's hospital. Where do you stay? How do you afford it? Families in crisis need help and the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan is there to help them with a place to stay, warm meals, and lots of support at zero cost. Today they announced their $2.5 million campaign to expand the house. Great and valuable work by a wonderful staff and committed volunteers!

The fundraising goal for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of West Michigan increased from $2 million to $2.5 million officials announced Thursday, March 23, along with details of the expansion and renovation.

The public face of homelessness is often of men on the streets. A more hidden part of homelessness is families with children...in many cases, single moms with kids. Family Promise of West Michigan is our region's premiere organization addressing this problem through prevention and diversion programs, emergency shelter, and stable housing options for families. Unless you've been on a very long hiatus from the news, you probably know that many are struggling with mental health challenges these days. This is especially true of kids.

Yesterday, the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan announced their $2 million "be together" campaign to move them to their new home at the Special Olympics facility on 68th St. in Grand Rapids and to fund the expansion of their programs.

Check out this video from the Today Show highlighting their programs in the schools.

While the program began before the COVID-19 pandemic, student athletes need the extra mental health support more than ever.
