In Loving Memory of Roger 🌹
Yesterday, we said goodbye to our dear Roger at Princeton Hospital, where he had been receiving care for breathing difficulties since last Wednesday. Though his body grew weary, his spirit remained strong until the very end.
Roger had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. He was friendly, kind, and full of life — always ready with a smile, a song, or a story that could brighten anyone’s day. His laughter had a way of filling a room, and his heart had a way of making everyone feel at home.
For six wonderful years, we were blessed to share life with Roger. In that time, he became more than a friend — he became family. He showed us the power of kindness, the beauty of laughter, and the joy that comes from loving deeply.
Roger loved to sing, and play his guitar was his way of sharing happiness with others. He and his beloved wife, Margaret, created so many beautiful memories together — full of laughter, love, and the little moments that make life truly special. They were partners in every sense of the word, and their love was a shining example to everyone who knew them.
He also loved the simple comforts of home — like building a fire in the fireplace and watching it crackle while spending quiet evenings surrounded by love. And, of course, he adored these faithful dogs, Sosie and Millie, who brought him endless joy and companionship.
And we can’t forget Roger’s competitive side— especially when it came to UNO! He may have hated losing, but his playful spirit and sense of humor always made the game one to remember.
Roger’s light continues to shine in the hearts of all who loved him. Though we’ll miss his laughter, his songs, his fireside stories, and the way he lit up every room, we’ll carry his memory with us — in every melody we hear, every story we tell, and every moment of joy we choose to share.
Thank you, Roger, for filling our lives with music, laughter, warmth, and love. Your spirit lives on in all of us, and we’ll never forget the happiness you brought into our world.
Rest peacefully, dear friend. 💙
