🏌️‍♂️⛳ The countdown is on! We're just under 3 weeks away from the 11th Annual Addieville Fire Department Golf Tournament Fundraiser!

We still have a few team spots available, so gather your friends, coworkers, or fellow golfers and join us for a great day on the course while supporting your local fire department.

Looking for another way to help? We are still accepting hole sponsorships. If you'd like to support the event, please take a look at our sponsorship and donation form.

And that's not all—here's a sneak peek at just a few of the great prizes and giveaways that participants will have a chance to win following the tournament!

Thank you to our sponsors, donors, golfers, and community members for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you, and we look forward to seeing everyone on June 20!

Our department is pleased to announce that we were recently selected to receive a FY26 Small Equipment Grant for $25,729 sponsored by the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office. This long serving grant continues to be a vital source in helping smaller fire departments across the entire state purchase essential firefighting and personal protective equipment. Funding through this latest award will be used to purchase new portable radios for our department. We would like to thank members of congress and the Illinois State Fire Marshal for your continued support of this grant program and for Illinois fire departments.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those heroes. From all of us at the Addieville Fire Department, thank you to our fallen service members and their families.

A big shout out to some amazing OHS Seniors that decided to stop by and help us with some spring cleaning items at the FD! Today was once again “Senior Class Give Back Day”, and after bribing them with donuts and ski, this group got right to work. There was window washing, vaccuming, equipment cleaning and hose stacking. Once everything was checked off the list, we decided to test their fire hose “bowling” skills. Let’s just say a little more practice will be required if they plan to go pro.🫤

Thanks to all of our OHS Seniors that helped so many organizations around our communities today. Thank you also to the OHS Administration for allowing them this cool opportunity to give back!!

Good reminder to check on and clear those vents with the recent heavy snow! Also, keep in mind that even if you clear them, its important to check them periodically as drifting snow can repeatedly cover them up.

When vents for furnaces, dryers, fireplaces, or water heaters are blocked by snow or ice, deadly carbon monoxide can back up into your home. Take a few minutes during and after winter storms to check outside vents and carefully clear them if needed.

âś” Keep at least 3 feet around vents clear
âś” Watch for drifting snow after heavy winds
âś” Never ignore CO alarm alerts

A quick check can help keep your family safe and warm this winter.
