Let’s monitor and correctly track ALL the required ingredients that we have to deal with in the industrial age. What better weigh than to get some load cells underneath something…
In this case, customer wanted to monitor and track their liquid totes thru what is called a tote tipper (no plug). A tote tipper uses the full weight of the liquid totes to push the spring down and as the liquid dispenses the weight of the tote allows the spring to push back up and then tip one edge of the tote and allows for that last drip to be extracted.
All the while, mounted to a 60”x60” smooth deck platform. This particular deck is a with hermetically sealed load cells to help defend against spills
Floor Scales almost always have (4) load cells to back to my original point is we have (4) load cells tracking the liquid coming out of this tote.
The weight signal produced can be configured to communicate to a PCL or a Controlling Operating System to interpret the weight data in real time, in this case a 4-20mA (milli amperage) so that their system can control with precision the exact amount we are pulling from the tote.

Those Jags didn’t fit….hey, watch your mouth. It’s all some Jags at Mettler Tostitos
Mettler still has their Profibus Interface Option available and that is exactly what the customer currently uses and is not even close to changing that option like most customers out there having to replace certain bus interfaces

Brand new Rice Lake 682 Synergy Plus digital weigh indicator hooked up to a Benchmark stainless steel bench scale. Not only can you set a target weight, but you can set an under/over zone tolerance too. The LCD color display shows you your settings and changes color when you are in range of your target. This bad boy is a game changer and can help cut back in user error drastically.

Trainer Cargo Scale
This bad boy is 10’x10’x3” (low profile, as are most cargo scales)
20,000 pound capacity and bumper guards to boot
It is recommended that these scales be placed in pits so you can drive the whole forktruck, with cargo bin, onto the scale. Construction can be costly, so above ground needs to be protected especially in this case but highly recommended with any floor scale.
Connected to this scale is an Avery Weigh-Tronix New ZM223 Indicator with an XR4500 scoreboard and slip ticket printer. Customer has purchased (2) in a many weeks

Late Add, but a much needed replacement for this current customers LFT truck scale. Unfortunately the install will have to wait till next year per (insert corporate gobble-dee-goop) so this bad boy will have to wait. This was shipped with (2) sets of catwalk/stairs manufactured by B-Tek
Great work as always on your multiple platform assemblies ie truck, heavy/industrial duty floor scales, and the like.

Another successful swap of obsolete Toroid load cells.
Unfortunately for this customer, while cleaning the 2nd level floor the cable severed near the ni**le of the load cell
Splicing, although not always recommended, was not possible.
We had to construct (4) 35K builds using Ricelake’s RL9000TWM
Calculated the necessary steel, then fabbed this in less than 72 hours

This one was a doozy. Honestly, I have no idea what this model load cell was originally called
Toledo Reliance Model 092-10K-0122
This supports a (3) ball bearing interface between the platform and the load cells per cell
Cap Check Type Cell I have just been told
Our team got these in and we got the customer running
It was cheaper for us to get this done like this rather than have the mill rights out to move everything.

Newly converted tank that was ordered by our customer was too short to reach the side of the mezzanine 😫😫
Short 32” (been there before huh 😏😭)
Don’t trip, we got you.
Couple of 1/2” stainless steel plates and 6” OD stainless steel pipe welded to 2” cross bracing ss pipe and bam, rise my tank.
Thanks to Twin Piping for the welding job they did. Superb work all around.
We used singled ended shear beam load cells 5K capacity each.
Tank was tested and weighs/repeats great.
Automated Scale has been doing this for years. Nothing new for us.

Human Resources

Implement company culture, values, and policies
Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records
Track vacation, sick time earned/used
Employee Expenses
Handle Workman Comp Claims
Maintain Health Insurance for Employees
Work with Insurance Broker to setup COIs
Evaluate Automated Scale's current system and provides analysis to upgrade a 3rd party platform if necessary (currently using Paychex HR Pro which is subpar or not being used properly)
Manage 3rd Party Safety Portals

Register our Technicians on our Customer's 3rd Party Safety Portals (Avetta, Gateway, etc).
Make sure we are annually up to date on all the changes in the industry.
Produce any documentation so that we may be approved to do work at the customer's site.
ISO 17025 Quality Assurance Manager

Ensure our Compliance w/ our ANAB Certification
Oversee our test weights are in compliance by record keeping and proper document filing.
Evaluate a 3rd party platform to upgrade to for the purposes of providing digital certs for our customers and internal record keeping.
All of the above is spread out throughout the week/months/years. Some of which you may not have to pay mind to for only a year at a time. The general purpose of this position is to assist the new owner in allocating the company's existing job duties so that there is a better concentrate of time for the above. This is a small business, and we only have 11 employees including the owner. We service roughly about 500 customers but only a select few require additional services like ISO Calibration Documentation and Safety Portals.
