Gloria Steinem, the pioneering journalist and activist who became one of the most influential figures in the modern feminist movement, has died at 92. Steinem died peacefully Wednesday at her home in New York City surrounded by loved ones, according to a statement on her official Instagram account.

Over decades of activism, she championed causes including reproductive rights, domestic violence prevention and gender equality in the workplace.

The Greater Dallas Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association held their September Member Mixer at The Woolworth!

It was a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day and connect with fellow restaurant operators, industry leaders, and hospitality professionals from across the Dallas area all while enjoying small bites and drinks in one of Downtown Dallas’ favorite spots.

👧 And the toughest critics in North Texas—our 3rd–5th grade student judges.

But we’re fighting for something much bigger than a trophy.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 on North Texas Giving Day to bring HydroTowers and Come and EAT IT™ cooking experiences to 10 elementary schools, impacting more than 1,000 children.
