One of the benefits to good snow cover thats been on the ground for a week or so is it reveals movement patterns and allows you to visually check on your past habitat projects and how the deer are using them.

I often hinge younger native trees high that grow along the edges of conifers to create secure travel corridors. Not only do they use the overhead cover the deer like to walk underneath hinged trees for protection.

I was able to fix a problem with my swamp discharge yesterday with the help from Jerry Mcqueen it's needed for several years. The discharge pipe had lifted up reducing its ability to drain any water from the earth dam substantually. Causing 1-2 feet of flooding over several acres each spring & fall of quility deer and wildlife habitat that was not in the original plan. Thanks for all your help and expertise Jerry!

I've always embraced life's journeys and have "enjoyed the ride" as they say. We never know where it will take us and whats waiting for us around the next turn.
