You just turned 1. They said the earth would go around the sun really quickly when you came along. They were right. They said each time the sun goes around the earth life gets richer snd richer. I can’t wait. This year with you has been the best year of my life without question. You’ve brought meaning to my life. You’ve brought love in to my life. You’ve brought purpose into my life. Why Marilyn?

What inspired you to get Marilyn’s face tattooed on your upper thigh?

I don’t know...and I’ll never know why my sister (Sian) did it...because I can’t ask her. My questions only reside in my heart.

What my heart tells me is that you loved her courage. You loved the way she captivated a generation and had them begging for more. You loved the way she stuck two fingers up to society, which gave her a sense of freedom.

You connected with Marilyn not for ‘fame’ that her beauty brought her...but for the freedom her beauty gave you.

I like that. Perhaps that’s “why Marilyn”.

Happy Birthday, little sister. You’re always with me. Always dancing.

I hope you and Marilyn are sharing that freedom together in heaven.
