Island Plastic Bags (IPB) had the opportunity to take part in the 10,000 Small Business Summit hosted by Goldman Sachs a few weeks ago in Washington, DC. Over 2,500 small businesses from around the country participated. At the event the business owners met with over 300 members of Congress and/or their staff. IPB got to meet with the staff of Senator Schatz, Senator Hirono, and Congressman Case. The company brought up how inflation, supply chains, and difficulty in dealing with the federal government is hurting small businesses.

After the event, IPB received an email from Congressman Case’s office asking if he could take a tour of our facility. We were thrilled to show him around our facility and to discuss in more detail, what small businesses are going through.

Island Plastic Bags, Inc. has a line of paper bags that is compliant with Ordinance 19-30 on Oahu, Ordinance 3587 on Maui, Ordinance 885 on Kauai, and Ordinance 12-1 on Hawaii Island! The bags contain a minimum of 40% of post-consumer content making them more environmentally friendly by supporting recycling of paper. Bags are 100% recyclable so the material can be used again.

The bags are perfect for grocery stores, restaurants, hotels, and retail! Bags come in twist handle, flush cut, flat handle, and die cut. The paper bags can be manufactured to specification with custom prints of up to six colors. Contact us for quotes on our paper bags.

Island Plastic Bags, Inc. sells compostable cutlery compliant with Bill 40 (Ordinance 19-30) on Oahu and Bill 52 (Ordinance 5084) on Maui!
