Commitment to Excellence GJW, LLC is the largest purebred Line 3 PIC multiplication herd in the world.

It houses a little over 5000 sows and is located in an isolated part of the Nebraska sand hills several miles outside of Ainsworth, Nebraska. The farm’s location was selected for its remoteness from other pigs, which is very beneficial for the health of the animals on the farm.

We recently had another wonderful employee lunch with our team from Sires! We enjoyed a lunch filled with good food, games, prizes, and plenty of laughs. It was a great opportunity to connect, celebrate the team, and show appreciation for the people who help make Sandy Pine such a great place to work. We are excited to share that Hector has been promoted to Finishing Service Manager!
Hector joined Sandy Pine in August 2018. Over the years, he has consistently stood out for his willingness to step up when needed and go the extra mile—whether asked or simply because he sees an opportunity to help. His initiative, creativity, resilience, and commitment have played an important role in keeping our finishing operations running smoothly around the north central Nebraska area. Just as importantly, Hector has demonstrated a strong desire to continue learning and growing professionally. He has actively sought out new challenges, asked for opportunities to expand his knowledge and responsibilities, and taken ownership of building his career path. Hector is a great example of the belief that opportunities come to those who seek them, work for them, and are willing to take on new challenges. Did you know that the first gas powered tractor was invented in 1892 in Iowa? It was the first successful gasoline-powered engine that could be driven both backwards and forwards. John Froelich was frustrated with issues around steam engines and wanted to find a better machine, so he made one!

With fall right around the corner, you can expect to see more trucks and large farm equipment on the roads. They take longer to speed up and slow down and need a wider area to make a turn. Please use caution when sharing the roads so everyone can get home safely to their families!
