Before the terrariums, there’s this.

Caring for plants in corporate spaces is where I spend a big part of my week - and honestly? It keeps me grounded. Every leaf I check, every plant I tend to, it’s all part of the same love. 🌿

Snake plants are one of the most overwatered office plants out there. 🪴 I always check the moisture reading before watering - today it’s sitting at a 7/8, which means it’s still wet. I won’t water this until it hits a 1. These need to fully dry out between waterings. That’s the secret most people miss.

Two worlds in one bowl 🌿🌊 The ocean on one side, a footpath on the other, with a little nipa hut (bahay kubo) at the center holding it all together.

The bahay kubo has always been a symbol of home, simplicity, and living close to nature. Felt right to build one into a terrarium.

The nipa hut ornament is handcrafted from the Philippines. 🇵🇭

They were just cuttings. Now look at them! Potted up, mixed & matched with plants that share the same light and water needs...then dressed with black lava rock and pebble toppings.

🪴Featuring some favorites: Schefflera, Sansevieria cylindrica, Spider Plant, Begonia maculata, and Hoya obovata.

Basically terrarium building but make it a potted plant. You deserve a beautiful life, and so do your plants 🖤

If you don’t know - now you do. Ngoc is a q***r Bay Area artist and illustrator whose work is rich, expressive, and deeply human. We first crossed paths at a spoken word event a few years back, so getting to vend alongside him felt full circle. Go follow him, support his work, and stay tuned - he’s also working on a children’s book! 🎨📖

And to my people - - thank you for showing up, bringing the laughs, the love, and the food! Rematch on the Relic!

Special shoutout to Cider and Guinness for walking the red carpet like the stars they are 🐾✨

More events like this, please. 🌿
