April Showers bring May flowers, and volunteer opportunities! Our volunteers participated in some incredible opportunities to give back across the Bay Area:
▪ Handed out fresh food and pantry staples to more than 250 families at the CRECE and Safe Passages food pantry in Alameda
▪ Walked dogs and cuddled cats to help the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) Staff
▪ Made over 350 cancer awareness bracelets for Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area Hope Walk participants
▪ Built 12 bikes for teens at the Alameda Boys and Girls Club
▪ Celebrated Earth Day by planting seedlings, cutting clippings and making mulch for Friends of Sausal Creek in Oakland

Our Employee Experience Resource Groups (EERGs) made a positive impact on our community and culture over the past few months! ​

◾Black History Month: BlackEXELence joined thousands across the Bay Area in the Black Joy Parade, one of our largest employee turnouts ever.​
◾World Cancer Day: EXELerate Hope assembled 300 comfort kits for patients at the Women's Cancer Resource Center.
◾Lunar New Year: PACE welcomed the Year of the Horse with a festive employee luncheon celebrating culture, tradition and community. ​
◾International Women’s Day: WE gathered to reflect on this year’s theme, .​

Giving back is one of the many ways our employees support the communities where we live and work. This February, Exelixis teams came together for several meaningful volunteer efforts:

▪ Helped distribute fresh produce and pantry items to more than 200 families alongside Life Science Cares Bay Area, Safe Passages and CRECE

▪ Spent time at the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) Shelter, walking dogs and comforting cats

▪ Assembled 300 comfort kits for patients supported by Women's Cancer Resource Center in honor of World Cancer Day
