PHOENIX SEEKS COMMUNITY MANAGER
PHOENIX is mixed-use warehouse, where we cowork, rent art studios, host film and photoshoots, events, meetings, festivals and workshops. We never cease to create. We are looking for a Community Manager to join our team. Must live locally (Alameda/East Bay), be professional, flexible, and available to work at least 3 morning shifts per week (8am-1pm).
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Open and close the coworking space, monitoring public amenities, upkeep refreshments such as fruit and coffee bar, IT troubleshooting, new member acquisition practices, and help keep the space running smoothly.
- Create a welcoming and collaborative community environment among members by facilitating daily needs of workers and occasional events.
Inventory management and ordering, vendor management and communication.
- Facilitate networking opportunities between members, such as community lunches, networking events, member workshops etc.
Marketing:
- Drive growth and promotion of PHOENIX via our offerings using social media & local target marketing.
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on industry news, products, features for co-working improvement.
- Create monthly newsletters for coworkers and general email subscription list to keep the public updated on events, news, and special deal offerings.
- Acquisition of new event bookings through responding to inquiries (Peerspace, e-mail, in-person), giving on-site tours during cowork hours.
Requirements/Tools:
- Your own laptop.
- Advanced computer literacy skills and ability to work with coworking and office management software: Cobot, Gather, Slack , Trello, Google Suite, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Wordpress, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Considering the amount of training required, we are looking for a long term collaboration (2+ years).
Our ideal candidate:
- is tech-savvy, and experienced in social media promotional etiquette
- has exceptional organizational, oral and written communication skills, is G Suite fluent, and able to develop engaging ideas.
- has versatile interaction techniques, including the ability to moderate online and in-person conversations within our community.
- has a producer’s mindset. You generate creative ideas to encourage a well-rounded work life balance as a perk of coworking.
- is able to build on brand ambassadorship and invite the broader East Bay Area to come check out what’s happening in this mixed-use space, with co-working and events as the main functionalities.
Compensation:
- Independent Contractor (Non-Employee, Monthly Invoicing). Approx 3 weeks of training required, training compensation $12/hr. Starting pay $20/hr (once independent), $23/hr after 6 months, $25 after 1 year. Potential for salary. Hours range between 18-23 per week with the potential for growth.
