At McBean Park, eight pickleball courts are now covered by a solar canopy, turning the space above the courts into a source of renewable energy while providing shade below.

BEI Construction worked with on the electrical scope for this project, featuring 432 solar modules and 233.3 kW of solar capacity.

McBean Park is one of six solar installations BEI is completing with SitelogIQ as part of the ’s broader municipal energy program. It’s a practical use of space that brings renewable energy and community recreation together in one place.

The Bear Canyon & West Ford Flat BESS Projects transformed two end-of-life geothermal facilities into modern battery energy storage systems in California's Geysers geothermal region. Together, the sites provide approximately 38 MW and 153 MWh of storage capacity.

As both EPC contractor and electrical contractor, BEI Construction delivered engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and complete balance-of-plant integration for the two facilities.

This work was recognized with a 2026 Project Excellence Award from , and we thank our employees, Hyde Renewables, and Calpine for their partnership and support throughout the project.

Project Nexus has been recognized as .news California's 2026 Best Specialty Construction Project.

As the project's electrical contractor, BEI is proud to have helped bring this first-of-its-kind solar-over-canal installation to life. Installing electrical infrastructure on a wide-span canopy above an active irrigation canal required a level of planning, coordination, and ex*****on unlike a typical solar project.

Beneath a raised floor in a mission-critical facility, our team recently completed this structured cabling installation. Clean routing and organized cable bundles help make future maintenance and troubleshooting easier while keeping the installation neat and accessible.

It's a level of care that's easy to overlook once the floor panels are back in place, but it's something our crews take pride in on every job.
