⚠️ FLOOD WATCH ⚠️

The City of Alamo encourages residents to take precautions and prepare in advance as a Flood Watch remains in effect.

To help our community during this Flood Watch, sandbags are available for City of Alamo residents who are within city limits and have a water account with the City.

📍 Residents can pick up sandbags at City Hall and fill them at:
* Alamo Sports Complex on Ridge Road
* Balli Park

🛻 Residents who are 60 years or older or have a disability may request a voucher. With the voucher, you may go to Public Works where staff can assist by loading the sandbags into your vehicle.

Sandbag limits:
* 5 bags per household
* Businesses: 2 bags per door

Please prepare ahead of time and continue monitoring weather conditions and official updates. Stay safe, Alamo. 🌧️

[8:15 am | 6/15/26] A viewer sent in a photo of flooding in Weslaco near I-2 Frontage, and Republic St. More rain will be possible. Turn around, don't drown.

State emergency response resources have actively assisted local officials overnight in response to storms and flooding.

Heavy rainfall and flash flood threats continue. If you encounter water on roadways do not attempt to drive or walk through.

A Flood Watch has been issued for all of Deep South Texas from Monday afternoon into Wednesday morning, with estimated rainfall amounts of 3-6 inches, and isolated amounts of 8 inches or more where heavier showers or thunderstorms persist.
