The McGah Family Vineyards are located in Rutherford, an appellation widely considered to be one of the premier sources of Napa Valley fruit. McGah in 1990, the 65-acre vineyards continue to be family owned and operated today. Our personal touch is evident throughout our operation, as we hand select grapes each year to ensure consistency vintage after vintage. We are committed to growing exceptional fruit that gives Napa its standout reputation as a wine-producing region. The picturesque McGah family vineyard estates are nestled just north of Oakville and bordering the Silverado Trail, in an area known for its unique terroir. Although Rutherford represents a relatively small appellation, its distinct microclimate and soils have made it home to some of the region’s most storied wineries. The soils from this upper east-side bench are a mix of red and brown gravelly loam with excellent drainage. The Rutherford American Viticultural Area (AVA) provides the perfect amount of heat to ripen both Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc but also provides the cooler evenings necessary for uniform ripening and full maturity at harvest. The McGah Family Vineyards are one of Napa Valley’s finest sources of premium fruit. Thank you for everyone who reached out, prayed and sent their well wishes. Our custom crush facility was within two miles of the fire and our vineyards were evacuated, we are safe for the time being.
We are happy to report our friends at Cliff Lede Vineyards and the beautiful Poetry Inn were also saved from the fires!

Cheers to the Holiday weekend with Scarlett Wines Frozé!

Scarlett Frozé, just in time for the Holiday weekend!
Ingredients:

1 bottle Scarlett Rosé
1/2 cup water
½ cup sugar
1 cup fresh strawberries cut in fourths
2½ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice .
Pour Scarlett Rosé into ice cube trays and freeze overnight. (Ice cubes will not be completely solid as alcohol does not freeze.) Bring water & sugar to boil. Pour is strawberries and let simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit for 30 minutes. Strain liquid from the berries into a jar & discard the berries. Refrigerate for 45 min.
Pour lemon juice, strawberry syrup & Scarlett Rosé ice cubes into blender with 1 cup of ice & blend until smooth.

Pour & enjoy!
