Have you heard of the Milgram Shock experiment?
In 1963 a psychologist named Stanley Milgram conducted an experiment focusing on the conflict between obedience to authority and personal conscience. Milgram wanted to see how far people would go in obeying an instruction if it involved harming another person.
In this fixed experiment the participants were convinced they would give an electric shock to another person if they gave incorrect answers to the questions being asked. The person answering the questions is in on the experiment and will only give wrong answers to the unaware participant resulting in the Deliverance of a shock, that the participant believes is real. The perceived shocks ranged from a "Slight Shock" of 15 volts to a "Dangerous" shock of 450 volts increasing after each incorrect answer given to the participant.
After each shock the participant would be told specific things by an authority figure in a lab coat or suit.
Prod 1: Please continue.
Prod 2: The experiment requires you to continue.
Prod 3: It is absolutely essential that you continue.
Prod 4: You have no other choice but to continue.

Milgram stated that people have two states of behavior when they are in a social situation:
The autonomous state – "people direct their own actions, and they take responsibility for the results of those actions."
The agentic state – "people allow others to direct their actions and then pass off the responsibility for the consequences to the person giving the orders. In other words, they act as agents for another person’s will."
With an authority figure present it seemed people would fall into the "agnetic state" doing what they are told (delivering the shock) because the responsibility could be placed on the authority figure... This doesn't mean they couldn't just say no, they still ultimately made the choice to do it, based on what they were TOLD after each prod..
Milgram carried out 18 variations of his study, altering the situation to see how this affected obedience. Different locations, people, outfits, over the phone...
His conclusion was that People tend to obey orders from other people if they recognize their authority as morally right and/or legally based and that Ordinary people are likely to follow orders given by an authority figure, even to the extent of killing an innocent human being.
This obedience to authority is deeply ingrained in people from the way we are programmed in the indoctrination centers as children, Trained to follow the rules of these so called authority figures without question.
We are witnessing this experiment now on a massive scale, people willing to punish or see punishment for those who have decided to question things coming from "authority figures" and enforcing the thoughts that have been strategically placed in their minds.
