Electrical deficiencies in these high-risk areas are among the fastest ways to tank your NSPIRE score and trigger immediate health and safety violations.

1️⃣ Loose or Missing Covers (Slides 1, 2 & 3): Enclosure covers left hanging wide open, dangling from a single screw, or completely missing expose internal wiring to dust, moisture, and accidental contact. Mechanical rooms experience shifting temperatures and potential pipe leaks—leaving these components exposed is a recipe for a safety failure.
2️⃣ Foreign Material on Panels & Breakers (Slides 4 & 5): See that white caulking and paint overspray smeared directly across the breaker faces? This is a major compliance issue. Foreign materials can compromise the mechanical operation of the switches, obscure factory safety labels, and trap heat. Panels must remain clean, clear, and free of construction debris.

Here are some of the most common—and costly—fire door failures we see out in the field:
💥 Fire Department Damage & Forced Entry It's a classic scenario: during an emergency or a wellness check, the fire department has to get through a door fast. The resulting structural damage completely destroys the door's integrity, leaving bent metal, split wood, and ruined frames.
🔧 Improper "Quick Fix" Repairs Slapping a piece of sheet metal over a hole or trying to patch together a compromised door core doesn't cut it. Bondo, makeshift brackets, and non-rated hardware do not restore a fire door's official rating. If it's not repaired using certified methods and materials, it’s an automatic fail.
