Looking to recycle an old TV or gaming system, broken coffee maker, or box of CDs? 📺💿💾🎮☎️

You can drop off electronics, known as e-waste, to our facility at 5991 Industrial Drive, Athens, OH 45701 and we'll recycle them! We have a blue dumpster outside of our facility to collect e-waste. Our office hours are from 7 AM-4:30 PM.

While TV recycling has a fee, the majority of electronics can be recycled for free. The only items we won't accept are appliances containing freon.

This makes so much sense, but I haven't ever really thought about it. Don't recycle your pyrex!

Did you know that Pyrex glass is made differently than other glass⁉️⁉️

Pyrex glass is made to resist high temperatures so that it holds up in places like your oven. While this is useful in kitchens, it is not in recycling facilities. When we send off the glass we receive to another facility to be recycled further, it is washed and then superheated into what is known as glass cullet to be made into glass once again. When Pyrex glass is present during this process, it cannot melt down like the other glass and contaminates the recycling stream. ❌❌

If you are considering getting rid of your Pyrex glass, please consider donating it to a non-profit, regifting it, or even repurposing it! If Pyrex glass has broken, please put it in your garbage, double bagged, to ensure it does not harm any waste management workers. Thank you all so much! We hope this helps! ♻✅
