What is the Albany Small Business Development Center?
The Albany SBDC is one of 24 campus-based regional centers that make up the New York State SBDC network that provides no-cost business counseling services to start-ups and established small businesses. We, in particular, cover twelve counties surrounding the Capital Region; Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington.
Since our start in 1984, our advisors have worked directly with over 24,000 businesses, helping them to invest $419,635,728 in the area’s economy and create or save 12,406 jobs.
Our advisors work with clients on a range of issues including start-up assistance, accessing capital, writing a business plan, building cash flow projections, and more.
