Haven't posted on this page for a while...and I have to be careful not to be/appear to have a cynical or negative vibe....but unfortunately, it's often either a cool incident or a disappointing one that triggers a reaction or post...I've often been the beneficiary of the fact that various human/societal events cause folks to consider making a real estate change...usually a sale...a parent passes...kids are born....a job change....a marital joining...or a split....I'm probably thinking about it since my sister who's been afflicted with Alzheimers for 8 years passed this week...she was the eldest, I'm the youngest....and when it happens, there's a flurry of activity to deal with the details....families who've been distant are compelled to coalesce...be polite...get along...and try not to bring up old baggage...the human dynamic is not simplistic...but somewhat predictable....but one thing that I can't seem to avoid observing....people...either are so self involved....or generally thoughtful of others....in varying degrees...even in conversations...either curious and interested in you...or can't help refocusing the conversation back to themselves...real estate folks are natural at talking about themselves...even to the point of bragging...which is pretty offensive...but self-hype is unfortunately encouraged in many circles....Bottom line...I really hope in this world folks can step outside themselves for a moment...listen to themselves...and quit being so damn self centered ...it's like a desperate attempt at relevance...just be happy with who you are..
