University at Albany Post-Doctoral Researcher Omid Rajabi Shishvan (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) completed the RISE program alongside team member and regional entrepreneur, Tobi Saulnier.

CurrentView provides real-time bedside monitoring of ventilation and perfusion to high-acuity clinical settings such as pediatric cardiac ICUs, NICUs, and transplant centers.

This team is taking innovation to the next level with $25,000 in non-dilutive funding—which includes a one-year incubator membership at the UAlbany Innovation Center.

University at Albany Researcher Scott Miller (Atmospheric Sciences Research Center) alongside Michael Jacques and Jason Covert were paired with student fellow Swati Keshan to complete the RISE program together.

WindSitu delivers real-time 3D wind sensing solutions for mobile platforms.

Please meet one of three winning teams from the Spring 2026 RISE Program Demo Day—Agent Heart!

UAlbany Researchers Xin Wang (Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics College of Integrated Health Sciences) and Hui Guo (Department of Mathematics & Statistics) completed RISE with fellows Yiming Wang and Liangqiao Gui. Agent Heart is an explainable clinical AI agent designed for multimodality, integrating cardiac imaging and clinical data to provide real-time, traceable decision support, helping clinicians reduce unnecessary procedures, simplify workflow, and improve diagnostic confidence.

This team earned $5,000 in funding—including a one-year incubator membership at the UAlbany Innovation Center to keep building their vision.
