What I've learned after helping small businesses with technology...
For a long time, I thought I was building websites.
I wasn't.
The longer I worked with business owners, the more I realized they rarely called me because they needed a new website.
They called because they were overwhelmed.
They couldn't access their domain.
They didn't know who hosted their website.
Email had stopped working.
Passwords were scattered everywhere.
They had a technology question and didn't know who to trust.
The website was usually just one piece of a much bigger picture.
That's why I've changed the way I think about my business.
Instead of simply building websites, my goal is to become a trusted technology partner for small businesses—someone who helps organize, simplify, and support the technology they rely on every day.
Technology shouldn't be another full-time job.
Business owners should be focused on serving customers and growing their business—not worrying about domains, hosting, security, backups, or whether everything is connected properly.
If I can make technology a little less stressful and a little easier to understand, then I've done my job.
I'd be interested to hear from other business owners.
What's been your biggest technology frustration over the past year?
