Just recorded my second voice over in two days on a very glamorous subject: ticks, tick-born disease, and how to remove ticks.

That said, I do like being able to add things like The New York State Department of Health to my client list. :)

I am extremely pleased to announce that today, I turned in 5,000 words to FINISH the first draft of my upcoming novel! It came in right around 50,000 words, but I expect to add another 10-12,000 in the revision phase, which is what's next. That's where I take my stream-of-consciousness rough draft and craft it into something I hope people will like.

I promised some details, so here goes. The book is called The Many Deaths of Amanda Wallace: Book One of the EarthJumper Series. I describe it as a "Young Adult Novel For Grown Ups." It's kind of a science fiction/action adventure book, and it's got some humor in it. Even more exciting, I'm planning to do it as an illustrated novel, with a couple dozen cool illustrations by a really amazing comic book artist (whose name I can't announce yet.) More details on that soon! All in all, I'm really excited about it.

I'm going to do another crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in March to get this one published in an actual print format, so be forewarned that you're going to start seeing some repetitive posts and messages from me in a few months.

Next week I'm hoping to finish editing a really fun novel by Calvin Mofield, and then I start the new project I picked up today: editing a four-part manuscript on Buddhism that's been translated from Chinese to English and now needs editing. Maybe my Facebook posts will start to take on a more spiritual tone?

Eh, probably not.
