Five years ago, we stumbled upon the music of Awax, and little did we know, it would resonate so deeply with us. His songs weren’t just melodies—they were messages, each note a comforting reminder that someone out there truly understood our journey. One song in particular, "Envisioned," became a beacon of hope and strength. About three years ago, our son’s eyes lit up the moment the song played. He couldn’t help but get up and dance to the contagious energy and raw emotion, completely captivated by Awax’s artistry.
Inspired by this connection, I recorded a video of our little dance session and the story behind it—how "Envisioned" had not only hit us hard but even touched our son. I sent that heartfelt message to Awax, and his response was pure gold. His words of encouragement were exactly what Sean needed on his next call, fueling us with even more determination as we fought our own battles.
Then came a moment that felt like life imitating art. On April 30th, we were granted the downward departure we had been striving for. Just a week later, we learned that Awax was coming to Minnesota. We rushed to grab our tickets, and the universe aligned for the ultimate full circle moment when we finally got to meet him in person.
