Job Title: Machine Operator – Horizontal Tube & Angle Plasma Processor (2nd Shift)
Location: Albia, IA
Pay Rate: [competitive salary] (2nd shift differential available, if applicable)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator for second shift to operate a horizontal tube and angle processor utilizing plasma arc cutting technology. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC-controlled equipment to cut steel tube, pipe, and angle material accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has experience with CNC machinery, demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, and maintains a high focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC-controlled horizontal tube and angle processing equipment
Load and unload steel tube, pipe, and angle materials
Monitor plasma arc cutting operations to ensure precision and quality
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists
Make basic machine adjustments and offsets as needed
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications
Prior experience operating CNC machinery (plasma cutting experience preferred)
Experience with structural steel, tube, pipe, or angle processing is a plus
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to 75 lbs
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods

Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with CNC plasma systems or structural steel processors
Basic knowledge of G-code or CNC programming
Forklift and/or overhead crane experience
