It was 1 year ago today:
I started CHM Services, my billing and credentialing company, within a couple months I had my first group, provider, and eventually I meet with more, some newer providers not yet licensed or ready, and some it just wasn't a fit for what either of us was looking for. It has all been through word of mouth and I can't tell you how incredible that feels and what it means coming from those who recommended me.
In saying all this: however through Covid, and My Son's last year of school, our last child, I took the much needed down time to do things for me, at home, with family and loved ones. When you work for a company and have your own company your never not working, even when you take a vacation work goes with you. So Covid gave me, more me time to become a second shift or night owl worker, or an emotional mom having to learn to let the last one go. I often wondered if I should have held off or waited another year to have started it, because the last thing I can handle is letting anyone down, or not giving my all to those I serve, but then again it all works out as it is meant to be, so no regrets or worries here.
I now have 3 companies, 2 providers, and well see what the future holds from it all, And I finally got back into much needed structure, caught back up on all my work for everyone, and am feeling relaxed, ready to go, and very positive about what is to come from here.
I have my first office review which was postponed in April due to Pandemic, looking very forward to that, and getting all my providers credentialed and ready for a possible second round about if we have to work from home again. God Willing we will all be ready and able. I take great pride in just that.
