We are excited to announce our collaboration with Leica Biosystems and Lunit to develop AI-powered image analysis algorithms, focusing on PD-L1 and emerging IHC biomarkers and accelerating precision oncology through scalable and consistent biomarker quantification through computational pathology tools.

The first product will be an AI-powered Lunit SCOPE algorithm designed for research use only with Leica Biosystems’ PD-L1 primary antibody (CAL10), for a combined solution that automates tumor proportion scores (TPS) calculations. This powerful algorithm will be made available through the Aperio AI Store and Aperio HALO AP image management system.

This collaboration brings together the Aperio HALO AP image management system powered by Indica Labs, Leica Biosystems’ PD-L1 IHC assay platform, Aperio GT 450 digital pathology scanner, and Lunit SCOPE biomarker scoring algorithm, reflecting a shared commitment to open-pathology and interoperability. As our CEO, Steven Hashagen, notes, “robust end-to-end solutions like these are a critical step toward realizing the promise of AI in digital pathology.”

Read our press release to learn more about the partnership and its goals: https://indicalab.com/news/press-release/pd-l1-and-emerging-biomarkers/

Lunit SCOPE PD-L1 CAL10 algorithm and PD-L1 CAL10 assay are for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Indica Labs, Leica Biosystems, and Lunit will focus on PD-L1 and emerging immunohistochemistry (IHC) biomarkers, for precision oncology.
