Some business names are just placeholders. This one carries the weight of a traditional naming ceremony, 20+ years of HR leadership, and a decade of trust built inside Tribal communities.

Founded by Karla Bylund (Citizen Potawatomi Nation), Soaring Bird Solutions built a nationally respected HR practice serving Tribal governments, enterprises, and nonprofits. The firm's name reflects her Potawatomi name, Pneshi Bmashi β€” Bird Who Soars.

We're proud to welcome Karla Bylund and her team to REDW as the foundation of our new Tribal HR Support service line!

😁 We're still smiling over here!

On May 21, REDW Phoenix team members had the privilege of watching Diana Gibson, REDW's Director of Client Success, take the stage at the 2026 AZ Big Media Champions of Change Awards. Diana entered the event as a double finalist, nominated for both Philanthropic Business Leader of the Year and Small and Medium Business Leader of the Year. But we were in for a surprise!

AZ Big Media introduced two special honors at this year's ceremony, including the Inspiring Change Award β€” recognizing extraordinary resilience through adversity. Diana Gibson was that recipient.

Accepting the award, Diana said, "This was definitely a life-changing event for me, but like I've said from the very beginning, this absolutely happened to me for a reason β€” and it was to start my nonprofit foundation, the Diana Adapted Foundation, so that I can show others that if I can do it, they can do it."

For anyone who knows Diana's storyβ€” how she navigated personal loss after an ATV accident in 2016, rebuilt her life, and channeled that experience into a nonprofit dedicated to helping others do the same β€” this award, and these words, couldn't be more fitting.

Diana, you are a champion in every sense of the word. We are so proud to have you on our team
