Found a stink bug on your curtains? It didn't move in alone. 🪲

A stink bug indoors isn't really a stink bug problem, it's an entry point problem. These pests don't burrow in or nest looking for food; they slip through the same small gaps that let in drafts, moisture, and other pests.

If you're seeing one or two, there's likely a gap somewhere near a window frame, siding seam, or utility line letting them (and other things) through.

Pest Authority's fall inspection identifies exactly where pests like these are getting in, so you're not just removing the bug you found, you're closing the door behind it.

📲 Schedule a fall entry-point inspection.

October is when the outside-to-inside migration hits its peak. 🍂

As weather conditions change, pests that spent all summer in your yard start looking for a way into your home instead:
🐜 Ants relocating colonies closer to structures 🕷️ Spiders following their food source through gaps and doors
🐭 Rodents scouting for sheltered spaces
🪲 Occasional invaders (stink bugs, boxelder bugs) staging near siding and windows

They're all using the same handful of entry points, utility line gaps, foundation cracks, door sweeps, roofline gaps.

Pest Authority's approach starts at the entry point, not after pests are already inside. We inspect, identify, and seal the specific gaps pests in your area are using, before the migration finishes.

📲 Get ahead of the fall push.

Year-round protection doesn't start in spring. It starts right now. 📋

Here's what Pest Authority's fall treatment plan actually covers:

🍂 OCTOBER, Occassional invaders (stink bugs, boxelder bugs, ladybugs) and rodents begin their move indoors. We focus on sealing entry points before they finish the migration.
🐭 NOVEMBER, Indoor pest prevention ramps up as entertaining season brings more traffic through doors that need to stay sealed.
🏠 DECEMBER, Year-round protection value check-in, confirming your home is set up to carry straight into next year with no gaps.

Every visit still includes interior treatment, BARRIER 360 perimeter protection, and free return service if something comes up between visits.

One plan. Every season covered, including the one most people forget about.

📲 Get your fall protection in place.

Rodents don't just leave droppings and noise. They chew. ⚡

Rodents' teeth never stop growing, so they gnaw constantly, and electrical wiring, insulation, and even gas lines are common targets. This isn't just an inconvenience:

🔴 Chewed wiring is a documented cause of house fires
🔴 Damage often happens inside walls and attics, out of sight until it's serious
🔴 Insurance claims tied to rodent damage can be complicated or excluded, depending on your policy

This risk builds whenever rodents find their way inside, because the spaces they settle into are exactly where wiring and insulation live.

Pest Authority's rodent program addresses this before it becomes a bigger problem than a pest problem.

Protect your home and your wiring. Schedule an inspection.

Here's what actually happens during a Pest Authority service visit. 👇

Inspection first. We check both inside and outside your home, including the foundation, entry points, attic, crawlspace, and known problem areas, to identify current activity rather than guess at it.

Targeted treatment. Products are applied where pests are actually active and where they enter, not sprayed broadly across the whole property.

Sealing recommendations. Where gaps or entry points are found, we flag them so they can be closed off, not just treated around.

Documentation. Every visit is recorded, so you always know what was found, what was done, and what's being monitored.

This isn't a spray-and-leave. It's a program built around your specific property.

Rodent control isn't a trap in the garage and a "good luck." Here's what a real Pest Authority rodent program actually includes. 👇

1️⃣ Inspection. We identify existing activity, entry points, and conditions attracting rodents to your property.

2️⃣ Exclusion. We seal or flag the gaps, gaps around utility lines, and foundation openings that rodents are using to get in.

3️⃣ Targeted treatment. Bait and trap placement based on where activity is actually occurring — not a generic setup.

4️⃣ Monitoring. Recurring checks through the fall and winter, when rodent pressure is at its highest.

September is the month to start this — before rodents are established for winter, not after you hear them in the walls.

Barrier 360 is exactly what it sounds like: continuous pest protection around the full perimeter of your home. 🛡

Most pest problems start on the outside. Ants trailing along the foundation, spiders settling into siding and door frames, rodents testing the gaps around utility lines. Barrier 360 is built to address that activity at the perimeter, before anything finds its way indoors.

Here's what it covers:

🗓 PREVENT. Stop infestations before they begin, on a scheduled visit rather than a reaction to a problem you've already noticed.

🛡 PROTECT. A continuous treated barrier around your home, maintained on a recurring schedule so your coverage doesn't lapse between visits.

🏠 PEACE. Professional service you can count on, with documented visits from a team that knows your property.

One barrier. Every side of the house. Every season.

September's pest of the month is the rodent. 🐭

As temperatures start to drop, mice and rats begin actively scouting for a warm place to spend the winter — and a house with food, shelter, and a few unsealed gaps looks a lot better than a cold field.

Here's what to know this month:
🔲 Rodents can squeeze through openings as small as a dime (mice) or a quarter (rats)
🔲 They're most active at night — scratching in walls or attics is often the first sign
🔲 A single pair can produce dozens of offspring in a season if left unaddressed
🔲 The scouting phase — right now — is the easiest time to stop them

Pest Authority's rodent program is built around this exact window: inspection, exclusion, and monitoring before they move in for winter.

Summer's winding down — but pest activity isn't slowing down yet. It's shifting.

Here's what to expect as the season turns:

Ants and rodents start scouting for indoor entry points as outdoor conditions become less favorable ️ Spiders remain highly visible as they feed on the last wave of summer insect activity

Mosquitoes stay active later into fall than most homeowners expect, especially in warmer regions

Overwintering pests (stink bugs, boxelder bugs) begin their move toward structures as temperatures start to drop

The pests that were outside all summer are actively looking for a way in right now. That's exactly the transition a recurring plan is designed to catch — shifting focus before the problem shows up inside instead of reacting once it has.

Pest Authority's seasonal treatment adjusts automatically as the calendar turns, so you're covered for what's active now, not just what was active in July.

Get ahead of the fall shift before it starts.

Before you unpack a single bag in a hotel room, run this two-minute check for bed bugs and other pests.

1️⃣ Keep luggage off the bed and floor. Use the luggage rack, or the bathroom tile, until the room is cleared.

2️⃣ Pull back the sheets and check the mattress seams. Look along the piping and corners for small rust-colored or dark spots — this is often the first sign, even before you see a bug.

3️⃣ Check the headboard. It's one of the most common hiding spots and one of the least-checked by guests.

4️⃣ Inspect the fabric on furniture near the bed. Chairs and curtains within a few feet of the bed are common secondary hiding spots.

5️⃣ If you see anything suspicious, don't unpack — ask for a room change immediately and keep your luggage sealed until you're sure.

This won't guarantee a bed bug will never come home with you — but it dramatically lowers the odds, and it takes less time than checking your email.

Save this before your next trip. ✈️
