GOT YIELD?
Do you know the amount of water one can collect from a well is based on well yield - the rate at which water is coming into the well bore. Some people confuse “well yield” with the “well pump delivery rate” which is the rate at which your pump removes water from the well and delivers it to your home. If you run out of water it is because the well pump delivery rate is greater than the well yield and yield is less than that required to serve your needs pumping directly from the well. The result of this dynamic is overpumping resulting in repeated drying and wetting of the well walls and feeding fractures, a condition which will cause well yield to decline over time because it causes the feeders to clog.
If a well has a sustainable yield of only 1 gallon per minute, it can produce up to 1440 gallons in 24 hours if you can keep it producing. A pressure tank system cannot keep a low yield well producing that long without overpumping and damaging the well but a Well Manager can.
If your water system has low pressure or low yield we have a solution.
