It’s official—our President & CEO, Prakash Sundaram, has joined Visit Albuquerque’s Board of Directors and will serve as an At-Large member of its Executive Committee!

With more than 30 years in hospitality and a hotel portfolio across New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado, Prakash knows the business from the ground up—from developing hotels to running them.

Now, he’s bringing that experience to the table alongside Albuquerque’s business and tourism leaders to help grow the city’s visitor economy.

Last Thursday, TMS once again participated in the University of New Mexico’s Small Business and Strategic Supplier Showcase—an event we look forward to each year.

It was a great opportunity to support The University of New Mexico - UNM, connect with community partners, and celebrate the local small businesses that help strengthen New Mexico’s economy.

Our TMS Sales Team spent Monday at Ronald McDonald House in Albuquerque for our Quarterly Sales Engagement.

For years, these quarterly gatherings have given our sales team a chance to come together in person, reconnect, and give back—separate from the community efforts our individual hotels lead throughout the year.

It’s one of the traditions we’re proud to continue at TMS and part of our “We Got Your Back” culture—strengthening our team while doing something meaningful for others.

Recently, internationally recognized market strategist Vickie Sullivan returned to Hilton Garden Inn Gallup and shared something unexpected with bartender Desiree Perez—that she had inspired an article Vickie wrote nearly three years earlier after watching Desiree calmly manage a busy bar following a wedding reception.

Congratulations to the four Project Search - New Mexico sites that earned awards for at least 70% job placement of their interns: Project SEARCH Farmington (Farmington Municipal Schools), Hilton Garden Inn Gallup (Gallup McKinley County Schools), Holloman AFB - 49th Wing (Alamogordo Public Schools), and Presbyterian Rust Medical Center (Rio Rancho Public Schools).

We are proud to share that our CEO & President, Prakash Sundaram, has been recognized as this year's recipient of the Industry Leadership Award by the NMSU School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.

This recognition reflects Prakash’s long-standing commitment to building opportunity and developing future leaders in the hospitality industry. His guidance and partnership were instrumental in the creation of the Courtyard by Marriott Las Cruces, which continues to serve as a meaningful hands-on learning environment for HRTM students pursuing careers in hospitality.
