Thank you to everyone who came out to the estate auction last Saturday. It was a wonderful turnout, and we truly appreciate the good energy, friendly bidding, and humor everyone brought to the day. You made it fun from the first lot to the last box in the barn.

One of the most special moments for us was finding a rug with a tag from Barsalow Auctions in Fair Haven, the auction house once run by Charlie’s brother, Bill. Seeing that old tag show up again, all these years later among the treasures, was a full-circle moment for our crew.

For the record, although Bill Barsalow Sr. (Charlie’s dad) was also an auctioneer, it was Charlie who started this whole auction adventure for his family, and it does not look like he will be the last Barsalow behind the mic. His daughter, Agnes, who works proudly alongside him, is carrying the family name as the third generation, and young Alex, his grandson who is still in middle school, is already showing signs that he has the auction bug too.

Finding that tag was a reminder that stories, families, and even furniture have a funny way of circling back. You just never know what you will find or who might find it next time!
