The Studdard Stone, is a monument to the employees of Mercer Ranches and Mercer Wine Estates who have committed over 30 years of their lives to cultivating purpose by providing healthy foods for Americans.
Bob Studdard worked for Mercer Ranches for 54 years.
This Stone was deposited on this farm some 15,000 years ago.
It was moved from its location and now it is placed here, in our community park in honor of Bob Studdard. The Stone is a symbol of stability, permanence and strength.
This Stone is Steadfast, unyielding and resilient.
This Stone marks the passage of time. It will be here for thousands of years. That is why we have dedicated this stone to Bob. The Studdard Stone.
The trees represent something special to me. The trees represent what is different about our company. The trees demonstrate that we care about our environment and the beauty of our landscape. We are here for the long term, and we appreciate that these trees will provide shelter and beauty for generations to come. They are the symbol of cultivating purpose.

Tucked away in a little-known area of Washington State, at the edge of the Columbia River Gorge, lies Mercer Estates Trailblazer Vineyard. With their Pioneering spirit, the Mercer Family brought irrigation to this area in 2014.
Designated the “Burn of Columbia Valley” AVA in 2021. We believe these grapes will produce some of the most amazing wines in the world in the coming years.
Trailblazer vineyard is special in that it has higher winds, more rainfall, and a more moderate climate than other areas in Washington. It produces perfect conditions for exceptionally long hang times. The main soil series is a Walla Walla silt loam.
The area is a high plateau abover the Columbia River, it lies between Rock Creek and Chapman Creek. The Native Americans that once moved through this area would occasionally set fire to the plateau in order to rejeuvenate the tall grasses that spread across the plateau.
Hand harvesting these spectacular grapes provides our winemaking team a great foundation for making a world class Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
