Severe cold weather is coming.
The freeze guard will come on and run the pumps as long as the temp is below about 38 degrees.
When the temp gets this cold it is trouble. There are no guarantees that equipment and pipes won’t freeze in these extreme conditions. Here are a few suggestions you might try.
1) You can cover the equipment with a tarp (gray or blue) and put a heater or shop light under the tarp to help keep pipes and equipment warm.
2) Or you can pull the plugs out of all of your equipment, turn the breakers off and let it drain. Then turn back on after it has been above freezing for 48 hours. breakers off and let it drain. Then turn back on after it has been above freezing for 48 hours.
3)Also, cover the sheer descents with blankets or tarps to help keep them warm if they are running.
Good luck and stay warm
