Dear Nomad Event Systems Friends,
We hope you are all doing your best to stay safe and healthy in these unprecedented times. Nothing quite like this has happened in the 23 years Nomad has been providing quality event production to the Washington DC area. Like most of you reading this, we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the coronavirus global crisis. The virus outbreak is impacting everyone from our families, to our businesses, to our first responders and doctors who are bravely on the front lines. As the situation continues to develop, we wanted to reach out and update you on how we are supporting our employees, the community at-large and you, our customers and partners.
We are looking out for the best interests of our people, including employees, vendors and freelance staff, and the communities they are a part of and work in. We have taken actions to reduce the need for staff to come into warehouses and offices based on the current conditions. We have worked to set up work-from-home systems so that we can keep moving forward with event planning and pre-production. We are committed to keeping our services available to customers that rely on us for event needs and to assist in negotiating the sudden changes to even structure and planning in the immediate future. We are continuing to reassess the workforce situation as things evolve.
We are doing what we can to assist and deliver solutions to the community in our local area and to meet the needs of groups reaching out nationally and internationally. Partnerships have been forged with groups developing better web streaming services for remote event production. We are following the situation closely and looking to updates from the CDC and local government. We are ready, willing, and able to help our community, using virtual solutions to spread awareness wherever and whenever we can.
At this time our staff are preparing for the rebound. We are working diligently to clean and sanitize our warehouse space and equipment above our usual standards, and focusing on the finer details of equipment cleaning, servicing, and repairs. Our staff is engaging in ongoing education for their general departments and is preparing to hit the ground running when everyone is back on their feet and in need of our services.
We understand the importance of each and every event, and the need to shift and reschedule events as parameters change. We stand by our policy to allow any currently scheduled event to be rescheduled to another date in the case of an emergency. We are actively monitoring impacted services to be ready for any client needs. If there are any changes in our abilities to support event production for our clients we will be sending additional updates as those changes are determined.
For many of our customers and clients, this time has been very disruptive, and with information and knowledge changing almost hourly, we understand how difficult maintaining any sense of normalcy can be. We are working on ways to help avoid these disruptions as best as possible, by connecting with vendors for increased service to content distribution networks and remote project availability. We are building in extra redundancies and holding plenty of distance meetings ourselves and working towards solutions for our clients, customers, and vendors.
Times like this remind us all about how there are hugely complex challenges in the world, and that working together we can overcome them. Our team is here for you, and we will do what we can to keep you updated, informed and provide our services as best as we can.
Sincerely,
The Nomad Events Team
